PURPOSE:To obtain damper effect in a rotary electric machine for rotating a rotor arond a stationary shaft at the necessary time by mounting a damping conductor at one end of the shaft, and facing it with a coil supported from a base, thereby simplifying the structure. CONSTITUTION:A stator 20 is mounted at a shaft 1 secured at one end to a base 15, and a rotor 4 is disposed to face with the stator 20 and to rotate around the shaft 1. A damping conductor 12 is secured to the open end of the shaft 1, is faced with a damping coil 3 supported by an arm 13 from the base 15, the coil 3 is energized when passing the dangerous speed of a momentum wheel supported via magnetic bearings 5, 8, and damping is applied to the axial vibration. In this manner, the structure of the damping device part can be simplified, and the dimensional accurcy can also be alleviated. |
