PURPOSE:To increase a running resistance against the ground and a tractive force without imparing the work efficiency by providing a number of parallel gaps in the running direction only on the edge of the machine side of a running crawler. CONSTITUTION:Gaps 13c are provided on the edge of the machine side between adjoining ridges 13b of a running crawler 7. Thereby, the ridges 13b act like teeth to cut soils of the ground, and soils penetrate into the gaps 13c increasing the resistance, thus the tractive force is increased. Since no gap is present on the outer side of the crawler, no obstacle will be encountered during harvesting, and even if the caterpillar 13 gets into contact with a footpath, etc., there is no fear that the ridges 13b might be broken. |
