<p>The bottle-filling machine has a rotary table for the bottles in the plane in which they are transported, together with a central column on which is a rotary upper part. The latter has a number of filler heads on hollow guide pieces, on which they cannot turn, each with a liquid inlet and an air outlet. As the table and upper part rotate, rollers running over a common ramp move the heads up and down. The guide piece (29) for each filler head (28) extends vertically downwards and is fixed to the rotary upper part, while the head with its housing (27) travels up and down on the outside of it. The roller (40) is mounted on the side of the housing furthest from the central column (25,26,27), and the housing is prevented from turning by a bar (57-59) extending horizontally from its side nearest the column to engage with the column.</p> |
