PURPOSE:To achieve sure operation without storage of significance of each function key, by displaying significant information from a host corresponding to each function key at a keyboard of a terminal. CONSTITUTION:The operator at the terminal designates a program module desired to be used by using function keys 23 and alphnumeric keys 22 at first. In a host computer 4, the terminal registers that it uses the module based on the designation, and significant information 52 of function keys 21 in a program module 51 is transmitted to the terminal. At the terminal side, the information is stored in a specified area 61 of a screen memory and displayed at a lower end 11 of the screen of a display 1 corresponding to each function key. The operator can make sure operation without storing the significance of each function key at the time. |
