The fuel injection appts. comprises a nozzle ball, a fuel injecting nozzle including closure member closing the mozzle ball to prevent the injection of the fuel, a piezoelectric transducer(1) coupled to the nozzle and an oscillator for driving the transducer. The fuel is injected through the nozzle by the vibration of the transducer. The switching means is coupled to the oscillator to cut-off the drive signals from the oscillator to the transducer. When the switch means is opened, the impedance at the transducer has more inpedance value than that of the switch means itself.
