PURPOSE:To detect the abnormal temp. of a juncture of high voltage conductors in an early time and to prevent serious accidents by providing a tuning fork fitted with an oscillator at the end of bimetals near said juncture and detecting the change in the oscillations generated by the deformation of the bimetals. CONSTITUTION:A tuning fork 7 and the 2nd oscillator 8 via bimetals 8a, and a thin leaf spring 8b are fitted near the contact of the high voltage conductors 3 in a sealed metallic vessel 1, and an oscillation detector 6 is provided on the outside of the vessel 1. With such constitution, the oscillator 8 is in the position apart from the tuning fork 7 in a normal state, from which small oscillations are detected. When the contact between the conductors 3 and the contact 4 goes defective and generates an abnormal temp. elevation, the bimetals 8a deform and the oscillator 8 approaches to the tuning fork 7, thereby generates large free damping oscillations. The abnormal temp. elevation is detected with the detector 6. Thereby, the abnormal elevation in the juncture is detected in an early time and the accidents are prevented. |
