PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce wear in a slip ring mechanism, by enabling to switch the contact state of brushes on a slip ring into contacting state and noncontacting state as required. CONSTITUTION:First, when the VTR operation mode is at the video recording mode and a reproduced video signal is monitored at the same time, that is, when the conductive path using a slip ring mechanism 4 is unnecessary, a brush holder 7 is moved toward the arrow A with a brush position controller 5 to locate brushes 8 to a positon apart from slip rings 6. On the other hand, when the VTR requires operating mode with the conductive path using the slip ring mechanism, the controller 5 moves the holder 7 toward the arrow B to contact the brushes on the slip rings 6. Thus, wear can be reduced remarkably by contacting the brushes on the slip ring only when the conductive path of the slip ring mechanism is required. |
