PURPOSE:To miniaturize a recording head, by using a laminated type piezoelectric element as an ink jet drive medium. CONSTITUTION:A laminated type actuator 1 as an electromechanical converter element formed by overlapping piezoelectric elements in many layers is inserted in a pipe 3 as a structure constituting a recording head. One end of the laminated type actuator 1 in the laminating direction of the piezoelectric elements 1, that is, in a direction largest in displacement (expansion) quantity is fixed to a fixed plate 2 through an epoxy adhesive. The laminated type actuator 1 and a piezoelectric element driving circuit 8 are connected by lead wires 7. Further, a nozzle 4 is properly provided to the pipe 3 so ass to inject an ink droplet in the direction shown by the arrow in a drawing. The part surrounded by the fixed plate 2, the pipe 3 and the nozzle 4 forms a pressure chamber 5. |
