PURPOSE:To provide a polyolefin compsn. having a high tensile strength and flexural strength and suitable for use as automobile parts, by blending, as a modifier, a specified polypropylene compsn. in combination with glass fiber with a polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:0.5-40pts.wt. polypropylene compsn. (B) and 3-4wt% (based on the amount of the whole compsn.) glass fiber (C) are blended with 100pts.wt. polyolefin (A) such as polypropylene to produce the desired polyolefin compsn. Said polypropylene compsn. B is obtd. by melt-kneading 90-60pts.wt. propylene- ethylene block copolymer, 10-40pts.wt. ethylene polymer such as an ethylene- propylene random copolymer or polyethylene, 0.05-20pts.wt. unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative such as acrylic acid, methyl methacrylate or acrylamide, and 0.01-5pts.wt. org. peroxide such as benzoyl peroxide. |
