PURPOSE:To obtain a miniaturized stable device, by axially unmovably supporting a member to a transmission housing, providing a guide hole to said member and functioning the sliding journal of an axially moving member with a spring receiver in said guide hole. CONSTITUTION:A starter motor M is mounted to one side of a transmission housing H to support rotatably an output shaft 23, and a spring receiver 41, provided in an axially moving member 38 of the output shaft 23, is slidably fitted to a guide hole 40 provided in a member 42 axially unmovably supported to the transmission housing H. Further a return spring 43, urging the axially moving member 38 to the disengaging direction from a driven gear 35 of a pinion gear 33, is compressibly provided to said guide hole 40 through the spring receiver 41. Then the inside of the guide hole 40 is communicated to the inside of the housing H through a slot 44 provided in the peripheral surface of the spring receiver 41. In this way, the spring receiver 41 can be smoothly slided to perform prompt operation of meshing the gears 33, 35. |
