<p>The wheel has a fixing plate (1) for the load, such as a trolley, and a fork (3) which can pivot about a vertical axis w.r.t. the wheel. Movement of the actioning lever (8) locks the rotation of the wheel in an increasing manner as the wheel axle (7) moves in the groove (10). The assembly also has two branches (4), one on either side of the wheel (6). The branches are mounted on, and pivot about, the fork (3) about an axis (5) which is parallel to the wheel axle (7). The axis moves back w.r.t. the axle as the braking action takes place.</p> |
