Wind-driven power station

The present invention relates to a wind-driven power station for producing electrical current and heat from wind energy. Instead of employing a horizontal axis of rotation of the wind wheel as in the prior art, the axis of rotation is, according to the invention, positioned vertically and a multiplicity of wind wheels coupled in each case to one or more generators are arranged one on top of the other. This results in the possibility of being able to use winds from different directions even at different heights equally well, an additional advantage being a particularly small base area.
