PURPOSE:To obtain magnetic toners to be fixed under low pressure by removing chemical compounds for removal with solvents from powders consisting of magnetic powders containing ZnO.Fe2O3, chemical compounds for removal being soluble in the solvent and the binding substance having pressure fixing property containing the substance having carboxylic acid being insoluble in the solvent. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic powders containing ZnO.Fe2O3, compounds removable by disolving in acidic water e.g. CaCO3 or the like, dye and polymer etc. extractable with organic solvents and the binder of press-fixing property (polyolefin, polystyrene etc.) containing compounds havng carboxylic acid to be insoluble in solvents and water (higher fatty acid, styrene-acrylic acid copolymer etc.), are heated, kneaded, cooled and grinded, and then the powder is obtained after washing with solvent for compounds for removal. The powder is classified, whereby the toner of fine porous material is obtained. By the above processing, the toner is obtained which has a good moistureproof property and a superior developing characteristic of good fixing property under low pressure in a porous and rugged surface structure and without falling of magnetic powder because Zn in the magnetic powder is crosslinked with carboxylic acid. |
