PURPOSE:To prevent the flying-away of a spring assembly for supporting an anchoring member engaged with the hook of a stay for a mirror, by providing a fly-away prevention band on a seat plate for tightly fitting the base plate of the stay on the outside sheet of a vehicle body. CONSTITUTION:A stay 1, to which a mirror M is attached, is fitted in the recess 8 of a base plate 3. The base plate 3 and a seat plate 4 are tightly fitted on the outside sheet 2 of a vehicle body. A movable hook 6 is coupled by a pin 23 to the central part of the bottom of the stay 1 so that the hook can swing. A coiled spring 5 is arranged on the seat plate 4 so that the spring extends downward. The coiled spring 5 is kept in a compressed state by a hook spring 7. When the stay 1 is mounted, the inverted-V-shaped part 9 of the hook spring 7 is engaged with the hook 6. The seat plate 4 is provided with a protruded edge 18 for tentatively anchoring the engaged part 9. A band 24 for preventing the spring assembly from flying away is provided on the seat plate 4 so that the band extends from the bottom of the seat plate to the lower end of the hook spring 7. |
