PURPOSE:To prevent the sticking of a toner, etc. to the charge wire of each corona discharger for an electrophotographic process by coating the wire with an oil repellent. CONSTITUTION:The charger 2, the transfer charger 4, the 1st destaticizer 8 and the 2nd destaticizer 5 of an electrophotographic copier are coated with a water repellent such as tetrafluoroethylene, trifluoroethylene, vinylidene fluoride or 1H-pentadecafluorooctyl methacrylate. Thus, the sticking of a toner to the charge wire of each corona discharger can be prevented. The sticking of scalelike matter due to the use of a humidifier in winter can be also prevented. |
