Silvered image formation - using emulsion sensitive to silver halogen(s) pressurised sheet and polymer retardant

The process produces a slivered image which is enveloped and stabilised. A photographic product is exposed and on a support is a coating of photosensitive emulsion, sensitive to silver halogens. A basic treatment soln. is applied to the exposure. Pressure is applied to a treatment sheet and a silver halogen developer is incorporated in the treatment solution. The sheet has a transparent support on which are applied, successively, a stabilising layer and a retarding layer for the silvered image. This contains a polymer acting until the end of the developing action.
