The invention proposes a carrying and guiding roller for the vertical lamellae of a blind which comprises vertical lamellae and is equipped with a simplified friction coupling, the service life of the actual running element being improved by a special shaping of the mounting plate for the spacer. Furthermore, the ease of mounting the carrying and guiding roller, in particular in terms of the required rotary drive, is improved.
