Setting out from a pan with a basic pan body (2) made of metal, the basic pan body (2) having a bottom (4) and side walls (5, 6) and a handle (3), in particular made of plastic, being mounted on the basic pan body (2), it is proposed not to produce the basic pan body (2) by the deep-drawing method, as is known, but by bending or folding it. To attach the handle (3), openings (8) are provided on the basic pan body (2), through which openings holding plates (9, 13) guided over an edge (7) of the basic pan body (2) on both sides are attached or connected to one another. By means of this design of a dustpan (1), a dustpan (1) is provided which is technically simpler to produce and is therefore less expensive. <IMAGE>
