PURPOSE:To stably operate a frequency divider in a high speed area, by constituting so that AND of outputs of two frequency dividing circuits having a dividing ratio which is not in multiple relation to each other becomes a dividing output. CONSTITUTION:A clock from an input terminal 11 is supplied to a switch 16, and the switch 16 supplies its output to a frequency dividing circuit 17 and 18. As for these circuits 17, 18, the dividing ratio is not in multiple relation to each other, and for instance, when frequency is divided into 12, the circuit 17 is divided into 4 and the circuit is divided into 3. AND of outputs of these circuits 17, 18 is taken, and the least common multiple of N of a dividing ratio 1/N of its frequency dividing circuit can be outputted as a dividing ratio. |
