The oil burner for a boiler has a mixing chamber ahead of an inlet jet, into which air is injected under pressure. This produces a low pressure zone inside the mixing chamber. Between the mixing chamber and the jet is a gas return tube discharging into the low pressure zone. Liq. fuel is injected into the return tube. This system heats the fuel before it reaches the mixing chamber, and the flame has a high temp so that the hydrocarbons of the fuel are broken down into hydrogen and carbon. A set of air supply tubes which discharge between the inlet end of the return tube and the mouth of the burner, causes a swirling action. |
