PURPOSE:To obtain a superior copied image of even plain paper, by preparing a single-component dry developer, which has specific electric resistivity and a specific dielectric constant, by using fine grains of a ferromagnetic material, resin for fixation, pigment and dye for color tone adjustment, and a charge modifier. CONSTITUTION:Toner for electrostatic transfer of an electrostatic latent image which contains fine grains of a ferromagnetic material, resin for fixation, pigment and dye for color tone adjustment, a charge modifier, etc., is used to prepare a single-component dry developer which has >=5X10<15>OMEGAcm electric resistivity and <=3.0 specific dielectric constant. In the toner, 5-60wt% ferromagnetic fine grains are contained, and the mean grain size of the toner is adjusted to 3-30mum. To control the conductivity and flowability of the toner, inorganic or organic grains of 0.01-500mum mean grain size carbon black, etc., are added by 0.01-4wt%. Thus, the developer has the superior capability of fixation even to plain paper. |
