PURPOSE:To apply printing to printing paper having no paper feed hole by a general-purpose printer while detecting a label, by mounting a label detection sensor to the printer. CONSTITUTION:Printing paper 6 is allowed to pass through a general-purpose printer main body 1. When a label detecting photoelectric sensor 3 detects no printing label 2, the sensor 3 turns the output to a personal computer OFF. The computer allows a printer platen 4 to minutely rotate to minutely feed the printing paper 6. When the sensor 3 detects the printing label 2, the sensor 3 turns the output to the computer ON. The computer stops the rotation of the platen 4 and a character is printed by a printing head 5. By this method, the character can be printed on the printing label 2 at an arbitrary position. |
