PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable light module by a method wherein a transparent molding substance covering the conversion element of a light module is formed and supported by an impermeable mold substance forming an external shape so that the central axis of a light connector coupling section corresponding to the conversion element may agree with the optical axis of the element. CONSTITUTION:A transparent mold substance 57 coating a conversion element 60 having a condensing lens 57a, an IC element 55, and bonding wires is formed by using a lead frame ground 54 as reference. A metal mold is arranged so that the central axis of a light connector coupling section 59 inserting a light connector plug 63 may agree with the optical axis of the conversion element and a light impermeable mold substance 52 forming an external shape is formed. In this way, a highly reliable light module can be obtained. |
