PURPOSE:To obtain a clear picture by preventing the edge of a sample from sagging during the formation of the sample, by containing metallic powder, which does not react on an etching solution for the sample, in resin when forming a sample holder for a microscope by burying the sample to be measured in the resin. CONSTITUTION:Metallic powder on metallic grains 3 which never reacts on an etching solution for a sample are mixed with thermosetting resin powder, such as phenolic resin, at a 30-70% volume rate. Then, a burying press, etc., is used to form resin and metal mixed powder while the metallic sample 1 to be measured is buried in the mixed powder, thereby obtaining a target sample holder assembly for a microscope. With regard to this sample holder assembly, the polishing speed of a mixed layer composed of resin 2 and metal 3 is equal to that of the metallic sample 1, so a completely smooth surface is obtained when the surface of the sample holder is polished, so that a clear picture including the circumference of the sample is obtained. |
