A nuclear steam generator internal wrapper assembly and shell construction is comprised of a generally cylindrical shell of a given diameter vertically disposed in a nuclear containment building, a wrapper assembly having at least an upper and a lower separate module, a plurality of adjustable spacer means fixed to the outer circumference of modules and sized to be received in annular space and adjustable outwardly for locking the wrapper assembly within the shell with substantial axial alignment of the apertures in the plates and sheet.
