The punch (1) has a base (2) with elevated rim (3) containing the assembly by which a selection of paper sizes can be punched. The elevated rim has lateral windows (20,20'). In an area separated from the sheet collecting space by a partition (12), a number of guide studs (9) are provided with notches in which an adjustable strip (6) moves. The position of a stop (7), corresponding to the size of the sheet is determined by the position of notches (22) on the edge of the slidable strip working together with an arresting lug (21). An additional arresting lug (21') works together with notches (34) on the other edge of the slidable strip. The latter can be inserted through the window on either side.PS.
