PURPOSE:To measure the volume of liquid containing solid components smoothly by providing plural noncircular rotor shafts installed in a measuring room with timing gears which rotate noncircular rotors without contact. CONSTITUTION:A pair of noncircular rotors (a), (a) accommodated in the inside of a metering room 4 and a pair of noncircular timing gears 6, 6 arranged in the outside of the metering room 4 are pivotally supported around a pair of noncircular rotor shafts 5, 6 installed in the inside of the body 1 of a flow meter respectively. The projected parts 8, 8 and recessed parts 9, 9 of the tootH form part 7, 7 of the rotors (a), (a) are only opposed to each other and synchronously rotated in contact so as not to engage with each other while rotating positions are controlled each other by the timing gears 6, 6. Thus, even if solid components are contained in the liquid, they are accomodated in the recessed parts 9 of the rotors (a), smoothing the rotation of the rotors. |
