A very high frequency tuner for selection of a broadcasting signal through variation of a reactance device responsive to a tuning control signal, comprises high frequency amplifier means, tuned coupling means coupled to the high frequency amplifier means, local oscillator means for providing an oscillation frequency signal, mixer means responsive to the tuned high frequency signal from the tuned coupling means, means for providing a tuning control voltage to the voltage controlled variable reactance device, and means for providing a band selection switching control signal representing selection of high or low frequency band.
