The clothing press stud has two elements (1,3) in the form of discs that clip interlock together. The upper element (3) is covered by a cap (4) made from an appropriate plastics material. The cap can be of any shape or size to make the fastener easier to open and for decoration. It can have any sort of decoration in it, either engraved or in relief.
