The device serves for transferring transported goods between two supports (1, 2) which have at least two channels extending transversely to the longitudinal direction of the supports. A transfer apparatus has arms (4) provided with lifting apparatuses, which arms can be moved between the channels of the supports. The object of the invention is to provide a transfer device which operates effectively and safely irrespective of the size of the individual transported goods. This object is achieved, according to the invention, in that the supports are so designed that they can effectively support the transported goods and in that each arm (4) of the transfer apparatus is provided with its own separate drive apparatus for its adjustment between the channels of the supports (1, 2). <IMAGE>
