Title compds. I[R = H, CO(CH2)nMe; n = 8-16 were prepd. Thus, 2-[3-(2-chloroethyl)ureido -2-deoxy- D -glucopyranose, suspended in pyridine at room temp., was nitrosated. After work up the mono-, di-, tri-, and tetrapalmitates were obtained. The monopalmitate of I at 1.0 mg/kg increased the life span in mice implanted with leukemia P 388 by 71.6%, and had an i.p. LD50 in mice of 162.5 mg/kg.
