Inside the casing of the appts. is a shaft (1) on which a roller (2) or a magazine with a strip of ticket blanks is fitted. The blanks ma be white or coloured, patterned or unpatterned, and pref. of thermal paper. This permits use of a thermo-printer (6). The casing has one or more apertures for receipt of payment for tickets, and can either be for the intake of coins of differing denominations, or for payment cards. Recording of payment can be by a current switch which is opened or closed with the passage of a coin. To the coin input is connected a container which can only be opened by an authorised person usng a key. A time calculator is incorporated with a comparator which compares the contents of the calculator with the time when the lotter period runs out. When this tie point is reached, the lotter appts. is stopped. A data cassette memory involved can then be read out to determine the number of remaining lottery tickets, and partic. those which hold winning numbers. |
