The pressurised medium-operated production machine, such as a paper cutting machine has a pressing beam driven by a hydraulic power cylinder assembly fitted with a control slide. the control slide has connection chambers with outlets which can be operated against each other. One outlet is connected wiht the power cylinder assembly and the other with a return line throttling device is connected with a tank via a temperature dependent over-pressure valve. The return line throttling device has a transit chamber is connected with the power cylinder assembly through a non-return valve and the connection chamber of the other outlet is connected with the tank via a two-way flow control valve.
