<p>PURPOSE:To make a learner of language study learn pronunciation, by displaying not only a spelling but also a phonetic sign, and providing a voice generating mechanism corresponding to the phonetic sign. CONSTITUTION:A display part 5 displays a character or its translation word, and its phonetic sign, which is inputted from a keyboard Co, by means of, for instance, a dot matrix assembly, in accordance with a command received from a CPU1. Also, to the CPU1, a voice synthesizing unit 6 is connected, and in accordance with the command recevied from the CPU1, the voice synthesizing unit 6 reads out a necessary data from the second ROM7 storing a voice data, resynthesizes it, amplifies its voice output by an amplifier 8, and outputs a voice of word or a sentence from a loudspeaker E0.</p> |
