The shaft joint has an outer and an inner ball race, connected to each shaft. The radii of curvature of the races have different centres. Each ball race has several ball grooves. Each groove in the outer (1) and/or the inner ball race (2) is shaped to be in rolling contact with the ball (5) at two points of the ball. A grinding relief section (8) is formed in the base of each groove.
