Program composing method carried out by a program composing terminal system which accepts test data inputs in a user oriented format and in turn generates a machine independent and syntax correct higher order language source for providing an easy to use automatic test equipment oriented program, and generates completed test documents requirements forms, this method comprising: writing program specifications in a user oriented format and inputting the specifications to program specification forms; entering the forms into a program terminal for processing these forms and generating a preliminary program; reviewing the preliminary program; and utilizing the reviewed program for generating a syntactically correct higher order language program and generating completed test documents requirements forms.
