PURPOSE:To obtain sufficient imprinting quality without deteriorating external display quality by obtaining polarizing plates differing in transmittivity by dividing either or both of an upper and a lower polarizing plate into two for each display group. CONSTITUTION:Liquid crystal 41 is sandwiched between upper and lower glass panesl 42 and 43 and on the external surfaces, upper and lower polarizing plates 44 and 46 for external observation and upper and lower polarizing plates 45 and 46 for the data imprinting of a camera are positioned as external and imprinting display groups 4a and 4b. The external upper and lower polarizing plates are so arranged that their axes of polarization cross at right angles, and the upper and lower imprinting polarizing plates are so arranged that their axes are in parallel. Further, the imprinting polarizing plates have lower transmittivity than those of the external plates. Consequently, bright external display is obtained and high-quality imprinting is achieved. In addition one of the upper and lower polarizing plates is made different and as the other plates, the same polarizing plates may be used as one body. |
