PURPOSE:To shorten the measure time and reduce the check cost, by providing a control part which controls overshoot quantity of a recording current waveform. CONSTITUTION:A recording signal is encoded by a switch 8; and by output signals 112-115, current sources 9-12 are switched to set a recording current, and switches SW1-SW4 of a overshoot control part 6 are switched. Currents flowed to switches SW1-SW4 and resistances R1-R4 are kept constant by a constant current source 13, and a current proportional to the combined value of resistances R1-R4 selected by the switch 8 is flowed to the emitter circuit of transistor Q1. Amplitudes of input signals 104 and 105 to a recording amplifier 4 are changed by recording current values L1-L4, and base currents of TRs 106-109 are kept optimum; and therefore, the overshoot quantity is not increased, and an optimum recording current waveform is obtained. Consequently, the measure time is shortened and the check cost is reduced in the appreciating device using a two-terminal thin-film magnetic head. |
