<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging of filter beds and the infiltration of sludge into a settling chamber by separating a separating tank and an aeration separating tank, performing decomposition treatment with the aeration decomposition chamber at a normal time, and returning sludge to the separating chamber when a large amount of sludge is included. CONSTITUTION:A separating tank 1 and an aeration decomposition tank 2 are formed as separate tanks. At a normal time, circulation flow is produced in an aeration chamber 5 partitioned by the partition wall 4 in the tank 2, and the org. components in sewage are oxidation decomposed by the effect of aerobic microorganisms. When the microorganic films are dislodged by the backwashing and the like of filter beds 8 and the amount of the sludge in the chamber 5 increases, a sludge return path forming plate is mounted to the upper part of a sewage circulation path 11, and the upward flow contg. sludge produced by the air diffusion from an air diffusion pipe 7 for aeration is returned to the separating tank through a transfer pipe 9. By this mechanism, the return of the sludge is facilitated, and the treatment efficiency is well maintained.</p> |
