PURPOSE:To purify exhaust gas of an incinerator, by providing a re-combustor heated by the combustion flame of a primary combustion chamber, passing exhaust gas from the primary combustion chamber into the re-combustor, and thereby burning unburned substances in the exhaust gas completely. CONSTITUTION:Susbstances to be incinerated are put onto a grate 4 in a primary combustion chamber 3 from a gate 2. After igniting the substances, the gate 2 is closed and a blower 19 is set into operation, whereupon a sufficient amount of primary air is supplied under pressure into the combustion chamber 3 from primary-air nozzles 6 and a primary-air pipe 5, so that the substances on the grate are burned briskly. At the same time, another blower 14 is also set into operation for supplying secondary air from secondary air nozzles into smoke pipes 11 in a re-combustion chamber 10 via a secondary heat exchanger 13. With such an arrangement, exhaust gas from the primary combustion chamber 3 is introduced into the smoke pipes 11 red-heated by combustion flame, for burning unburned matters in the exhaust gas completely in the smoke pipes 11. On the other hand, unburned particles in a stack 15 are drawn into the combustion chamber 3 via a suction duct 17 by the function of an ejector 18. |
