PURPOSE:To display the absolute position of a tone arm and whether it is on a recording zone, by providing a light-emitting display menas to a wire which moves according to the extent of the movement of the tone arm and by further providing a head shell with an unrecorded-zone detecting means. CONSTITUTION:To a moving member 8 which drives a linear tracking arm 6 linearly, both ends of a wire 12 constituting a driving means 11 provided movably according to the extent of the movement of a tone arm 6 are fixed. To the wire 12 extended among pulleys 13a-13f, a lihgt-emitting display means 5 consisting of light emitting diodes is fixed and driven by the same extent of movement with the tone arm 6. A head shell 14 fitted stop of the arm 6 is provided with a light emtting element 17 and a photodetecting element 18 constituting an unrecorded-zone detecting means; variations of the reflectivity of a record surfacee are sensed by the photodetecting element 18, whose signal is outputted to display an unrecorded state by varying the quantity of light emitted by the light-emitting display means 5. Consequently, the device displays the absolute position of the tone arm and whether it is on a recording zone or not. |
