<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a polypeptide useful as an antiulcer agent, etc., in high yield, without necessitating strict temperature control, suppressing the production of by-products, by using a cycloalkyl group as a protecting group of the side chain of aspartic acid at a specific site. CONSTITUTION:The polypeptide of formula can be produced by solid-phase process using a cycloalkyl group (e.g. 5-7C cyclopentyl) as a protecting group for the side chain of aspartic acid of at least 3-site. It is preferable to use cycloalkyl group also as a protecting group of the side chain of 25 site aspartic acid. The insoluble carrier used in the solid-phase synthesis is e.g. p-methyl- benzhydrylamine resin.</p> |
