PURPOSE:To enhance the work efficiency of assembling a battery by making the top of an electrode pole penetrating a container lid to extrude from the top surface of the lid, placing fixed parts around the top of the pole before an auxiliary metal tool is placed on the top surface of the pole, and pressing a stop ring downward so that the ring is fitted and fixed in an annular ditch provided on the pole. CONSTITUTION:An electrode pole 1 has a flange 2 to which an assembled element 3 is fixed. The pole 1 is made to penetrate an insertion hole 7 provided in a container lid 6 in such a manner that the top of the pole 1 extrudes from the upper surface of the lid 6. A tapped hole 4 is provided on the top surface of the pole 1, and an annular ditch 5 is provided along the upper round surface of the pole 1. In assembling a battery, fixed parts such as an O ring 9, cup spring washer 10, a washer 11 and the like are placed around the head of the pole 1 extruding from the lid 6, and a hollow conic cut-head auxiliary metal tool 13 is placed on the top surface of the pole 1. At the same time, a stop ring 12, which is fitted in the annular ditch 14, is placed in the ditch 14. After that, a bolt 17 is fitted in the tapped hole 4 and is pressed downward by means of a pressing block 16, thereby making the stop ring 12 to be fitted and fixed in the ditch 4. |
