<p>PURPOSE:To obtain excellent linearity, by forming a core which is moved in response to the movement of a member to be sensed by a low-permeability, conductive metal in a ring shaped, and arranging a high permeability ferromagnetic body through a ring hole of said core. CONSTITUTION:The core 12 is moved in response to the movement of the member to be sensed. A primary coil 6 is arranged along the moving path of said core 12 and excited by an AC current. Secondary coils 8 and 9 generate the voltage difference in proportion to the movement of the core 12. The core 12 is formed in a ring shape by the low permeability (specific magnetizing ratio is about 10<-3>-10<-6>) conductive metal. The high-permeability ( specific magnetizing ratio is about 10<3>-10<6>) ferromagnetic rod 13, or in some case, pipe, whose length is the same as the total width of the primary coil 6, is arranged through the ring hole 2 of the core 12. A high frequency (about 50KC-2MC) exciting current is applied to the primary coil 6.</p> |
