Muddy pit water advance cleaning system - has sieve type mud holder tiltable above sludge holder with pump connection

Uninterrupted and wear-free use of pumps is made feasible for initially cleaning muddy water in pits and mines esp. from workings where there is considerable inflow of water. A sludge catchment container (1) is attachable to a pump, at the end of the face area, below the seam floor and parallel to the conveyor. A mud catchment container (3), in the form of a sieve (2), is mounted above this, so as to tilt along its length. The first container may be divided lengthways, with the second one mounted above its crosswalls (7), which protrude beyond its longitudinal sides (6).
