PURPOSE:To sense the direction of breeze accurately by sensing the thermal quantity which is generated in a heated temperature sensing element provided in a cylinder and which is dissipated by wind. CONSTITUTION:One end of the protecting cylinder 4 is closed. An open end 4A of the cylinder 4 is an introducing hole which introduces the wind 7 to be measured. The introduced wind passes through the positions of a nonheated temperature sensing element 3 and the heated temperature sensing element 2 and is exhausted to the outside from an opening 6. In this constitution of the wind direction sensor 1, the thermal quantity of the sensor 2 which is dissipated by the wind can be sensed. Since one end of the protecting cylinder 4 is closed, the open end 4A has directivity with respect to the wind 7. By employing this kind of the wind direction sensor, the direction of the breeze can be precisely sensed. |
