Cementable, foamable laminate prodn. e.g. for ski mfr. - by pressing fibre-reinforced thermosetting resin substrate and barrier resin-coated top layer(s)

In easily luted, foamable laminate prodn., 1 or 2 fabric or fleece top layers are coated, on one side, with an opt. elastomeric resin, present, if necessary after heating, in a condition in which it no longer flows on hardening together with a fibre- reinforced thermosetting resin substrate layer. The coated and opt. heat-treated side is contacted with the unhardened or pre-hardened fibre-reinforced substrate layer and hardened together under pressure. The substrate and top layer(s) are bonded completely during hardening. The top layer(s) have an outwardly-decreasing resin content, so that no resin permeates to top layer surface. The laminates are used in ski top- and bottom flange layers. The top layers are irreversibly bonded to the substrate layer but have an external rough, resin-free,cementable and foamable surface.
