<p>The centrifugal blower is electric motor driven and has a variable dimension diffusion chamber facing the blower wheel to maintain the efficiency and output pressure when the speed is varied. The blower unit has an outer casing (1) fabricated in sheet metal. Air is drawn in axially through a tubular inlet (3) coaxial with the blower wheel (6) shaft (7). The blower wheel has an enlarged inlet (5) and tapers towards the outer edge (9) directing the outgoing air through an expanding tangential duct. Facing the blower wheel, a cylindrical tube (17), coaxial with the inlet tube (3) is mounted on stands (20) which slide through the end wall (14) to adjust the position of the cylinder tube (17) so that it forms, in conjunction with a fixed partition (13), a variable volume pre-diffusion chamber facing the blower wheel.</p> |
