PURPOSE:To shorten the construction period and also to prevent an underground tank from an external fire etc. by covering a metal-fabricated low-temperature liquid containing inner tank, which is clad with a heat-insulating material and laid underground, with a concrete lid. CONSTITUTION:A ferroconcrete cylindrical outer tank 1 with its flat bottom is laid underground in a ground (a). The top of this outer tank 1 is covered with a ferroconcrete lid 2. Inside of this outer tank 1, is placed a metallic self-standing cylindrical inner tank 3, which has a bottom, with some gap between the tanks 1 and 3. Inside the bottom gap between these inner/outer tanks 1 and 3 is laid an anticompression heat insulating material 5 and inside the side gap, contacting the outside surface of the inner tank 3, a shape self-keeping heat-insulating material 6 is laid so that the heat-insulating material laying job can be easily conducted. Next, a concrete wall 7 is placed between the heat-insulating material 6 and the inner surface of the outer tank 1 to prevent the displacement of the heat-insulating material 6 by means of the presence of this concrete wall 7 so that the heat-insulating effectiveness will not go down. |
