PURPOSE:To facilitate the discharge of a kernel electrode and to realize quickly dischargable gas space, by forming the surface of a protective layer covering the kernel electrode with a surface layer having higher secondary electron discharge factor than that of the surfae of the protective layer covering the indication electrode. CONSTITUTION:X-electrode 22, kernel electrode 23 and a dielectric material layer 24 are formed on one face of a front substrate 21, then a protective layer 25 of such as MgO for covering th X-electrode 22 and a protective layer 26 comprised of more than two kinds of such material as alkali metal compound having higher secondary electron discharge factor than that of the protective layer 25 is formed to cover the kernel electrode 23 on the dielectric material, while a black mask 27 for shielding the kernel electrode 23 is formed on the other face. The rear substrate 28 is conventionally made by the lamination of Y electrode 29, dielectric material layer 30 and a protective layer 31. Consequently the kernel discharge is facilitated to produce quickly dischargable gas space while simultaneously the yield of the product is improved. |
